PAST PRODUCTION:
LIFE, STILL
2019
Written by Jayne Woodhouse and Douglas Murdoch
Directed by Lex Kaby

Three interlinking short plays set in a dystopian future.
Premiered June 2nd & 8th 2019 at Burdall's Yard, Bath.
'When things started changing, nobody did anything. No riots, no protests, nothing. But how long could this last? In a society built on a rigid class system, where people are ranked from Class A to Class Z, these three original plays question the length that ordinary people will go to when faced with a life they no longer feel a part of. Be taken into the uncomfortably familiar world of these plays, as actors change characters and stories interlink. Cast a mirror to a society where, when it mattered, people did nothing. But rebellion is starting to stir and, if one thing’s certain, it’s that people won’t sit quiet for ever…'

Epic transitions paired with stark lighting flashes really gives you a pain-stricken “other-worldly” feel, beautifully accompanied by a live cellist which adds another touch of live drama to the piece. As a whole, I was impressed by Greedy Pig Theatre Company’s first production.
